Walter A. Woodward was raised a Master Mason in 2002
at Parkland/Lakewood No. 299. Walter was no stranger to masonry as he
was actively involved with his grandparents Walter & Lorraine Schnoor of
Arc Lodge in Burien, WA.
Walter was an active volunteer at the Masonic Retirement Center in Des
Moines, WA, adopting many seniors & looking after their healthcare &
wellbeing. Having been an active advisor in DeMolay & Job’s Daughters
Walter is a Past Associate Guardian of Bethel No. 75 in Des Moines, WA.
Walter was a member of the Grand Lodge Float Committee for many years.
Walter met his lady, Heidi, at a Job’s Daughters meeting in Auburn, WA.
Shortly after, the two were married at the Masonic Retirement Center in
Des Moines, WA witnessed by Mr. Cleo McCord, Best Man, & Mrs. Helen
Miles, Matron of Honor. Walter became the proud stepparent to Jessie &
Alex, a Past Honored Queen of Bethel No. 45 Renton, WA, & Past Master
Councilor of Merle E. Luther Chapter Black Diamond, WA. Walter & Heidi
welcomed their son McCord ”Mackie” into the world in 2008.
Walter is an active member of the Black Diamond/Maple Valley Kiwanis
club. He was an integral force in chartering the new Black Diamond/Maple
Valley club in 2010 and is proud to be their Charter President.
Walter followed his Grandfathers footsteps in becoming a Shriner,
joining Afifi Shrine in 2002. Becoming “Schnoor” the clown has been one
of the highlights of Walter’s Shrine journey.
Walter is an enthusiastic classic car collector & enjoys G scale trains. |
